I'm honestly sick to death of this tik tok cold foam thing. Literally every other drink is either that white mocha cold foam monstrosity or some other variation of a drink with sweet cream cold foam. People even add matcha or strawberry puree to it or want mocha drizzle in it. Please stop making up dumbass nonsense drinks, please stop following some random ass nobody on tik tok and doing everything they do, and please stop ordering everything with sweet cream cold foam. I know it's petty but it's obnoxious and I'm tired of this dumb trend.

Idk if we are supposed to do this but we tell them we can't put it on hot drinks. In reality it's just that we refuse to lol but I explain that it just melts and it's going to be better if they just have us pour some sweet cream in if they want sweet cream. They never have issue with that or they just skip it altogether. It's like customers don't use their brain lmao it won't work on a hot drink plus the ice in an iced drink helps kinda hold it up. It works on nitros but idk if the nitro somehow helps hold it up? Not sure.

It’s a thing that takes like 7 mins to make correctly and we get slammed with drinks from open-close most days at my store. Someone gets one every day and she always complains that it takes long and I’m like??? There are other drinks??? My machine only prints one sticker at a time???? Don’t get here .287 seconds after you order?????? Other than that I’m fine making it without hearing complaints on the other side of the glass.

I think our core beverages with cold foam are really great, and I understand the temptation to put cold foam on other drinks. It’s sweet and creamy while having a light, fluffy texture that gives a sweet injection to every sip. I have a few things that irk me though.
1) putting it on a hot drink is pointless. It’s going to melt. Use whipped cream or just have us pour regular sweet cream in
2) IF THEY USE A STRAW TO DRINK IT WHAT IS THE POINT OF ME FOAMING THE SWEET CREAM UP??? It’s all about texture and that sipping structure. Then, they have the audacity to just stir it all in? Bruh. Again, just have me pour sweet cream into your drink.
3) It has become every drink and every modification. Iced coffees, lattes, mochas, matchas, pink drinks, iced espressos. These drinks are wildly expensive, and drunken on a daily basis is just so unhealthy.
TL;DR I get it. Cold foam’s good, but customers have brought me to hate it by making it a part of everything.

I'm prob becoming jaded as fuck (but luckily will be done with school in December and can say fuck Starbucks) but anytime someone has ordered a frap with it I just tell them no. Not necessarily straight up "no we can't do that" but I let them know that because they are drinking it with a straw and it being frozen them they won't even have the SC in the drink. Instead I suggest either having me pour a little SC in the blender to add the taste or that the whipped cream is pretty much the same thing. It's worked every time

As far as I know it’s not a requirement to drink cold foam drinks without a straw. If I sip, then I have to go through all the foam before I even taste coffee therefore I get a straw to enjoy both my foam and my coffee, all I have to do is adjust the straw how I want it. Stop being a douchebag about things that are insignificant and maybe you’ll enjoy your time at Starbucks more.
Ps. You guys can downvote me all you want but if you’re here complaining non-stop about insignificant nonsense, maybe you don’t truly uphold the company’s values and YOU are probably the type of person who ruins the attitude of the floor for other baristas.

Yesterday I served someone a venti strawberry acai, with s.c cold foam, no inclusions, instead mocha drizzle. I was curious if she had ordered it before and was "connecting" and dead pan stared into her eyes as I accidentally put caramel drizzle all over the top... didn't even think of my mistake till 15minutes later

I think this drives me nuts more than anything. Like if someone comes in wanting some concoction, I'll make what they ask for. But when a partner starts recommending stuff to the customer that makes more work and hassle for the bar partner, I'm like BRUH!! We should be looking out for each other. our recipe is 1 L heavy cream, 350 mL vanilla syrup, and 650 mL 2% milk. i suck at math but if you can figure out the ratio you should totally try to make your own! i would probably just froth it up with a handheld milk frother (they’re super cheap & easy to find if you don’t have one) good luck!

Also, some of the invented drinks are not safe to drink. I had a teenager order a lemonade drink with heavy cream or some type of dairy milk. My shift supervisor told them that the citric acid in the lemonade could make the milk curdle. The teenager asked what 'curdle' means. After my shift supervisor explained that it means "go bad," the teenager insisted on ordering the drink.

You could apply that logic to many of the drinks sold/modified. I do agree that it's hard to balance priorities- such as good drive times plus cold foam and other modifiers. Supposedly, higher average ticket prices and better sales equal more hours for us, more tips, etc. We just do the best that we can with what they give us. Without warming or ovens our drive times would probably be quicker too, but then we'd be missing out on a big chunk of our sales
