Tarbucks lead here.
I would agree with what was previously stated on most things. However, you do get the occasional lead who does know about Starbucks. I was a barista for 5 years before being promoted. Granted, no one else in the store knows anything about Starbucks so I'll give you that.
As for working by yourself, if your lead is any type of good at writing an effective schedule (which I can see they weren't), you should never really be alone except for an hour or two.
That being said, target is hecka slow paced compared to corporate stores. Like we are barely making 1300 and that's being generous. Also, a literal ton more frappuccinos. So if you like making those, welcome to target lol!
It shouldn't be a conflict of interest, but you can always check with your DM and target HR to make sure.

I’ve worked as a lead at a Barnes & Noble Cafe, and I prefer the Starbucks experience so, so, so much more. A lot of that comes down to corporate. I’m staying with Starbucks for the benefits 100%, and I’d be surprised if Target was competitive in that regard. But! I’m in my late 20s and in the middle of a divorce, so I may need something different than you do at this phase of your life :)
