Give it more time. If you can afford to work fewer hours, or off peak see if you can arrange that. I think the company doesn't allow multiple transfers in a short period of time, but that might be different with a closure.
Also if you have contact info for your old crew, reach out to them, see if they have any advice. Try to build up friendly relations with some of your new crew, ask how they manage.
Get the contact info for the Employee Assisstance Program-free counselors provided by the company, but not Starbucks employees. Completely confidential. I used one before, and I found it really helpful.

And ultimately, remember, all of this is Just Coffee.

Good luck Sweetie.

No I understand that and everyone keeps saying the same thing to me but I just can’t handle it. I never wanted to work in a drive thru store. Ultimately in my mind I’d rather be at a cafe store again or leave the company entirely. Not that it matters but I’m currently learning with my doctor that I likely have adhd and severe generalized anxiety disorder so every day I’m feeling so overwhelmed and I don’t feel like I can talk to anyone about it. Like I’m constantly losing my mind just trying to catch up to all my new coworkers. It’s really hard to stick it out and hope for the best when I’m incredibly unhappy rn

Talk to your manager about how you are feeling. If they don’t know what’s going on they can help. They should be there to support you in the adjustment. This kind of change can be very difficult. You’re grieving over the loss of your store and that’s okay, it’s a huge and very emotional change.

Especially moving from cafe to DT. It’s a big change of pace but, hopefully with the support of your manager and team, if you give it time you can adjust and may end up liking it better. But be patient with yourself and ask for help. Your SM, SSVs, and fellow baristas should be there to support you. But ultimately whether for support or for a transfer, the first step is talk to your SM.

thank you. Right now it feels so hard to ask for help because everyone’s in go mode at all times so I feel like I’m just slowing everything down.
