Help with an SSV (self.starbucksbaristas)

I just found out that one of my fellow SSV’s was fired from multiple Starbucks for aggression/sexual harassment. I no longer want to be scheduled with him. Should I call corporate?! help!

Why on earth is this person getting rehired if they’ve gotten *fired* from *multiple* stores. I left on good terms and was told by the manager I interviewed with that I was not rehireable a few years ago. WTH is going on in your district?

i have no idea. i am fairly new to starbucks as i am coming from a locally owned coffee chain and this is one of the messiest stores and situations i have ever seen. i am appalled

Does your SM know? Why would they be getting rehired? I might talk to your SM first and if they do nothing call PRC.

apparently my SM and him are or have been hooking up. so it’s a shit show. she also has been shuffled around stores and demoted once and then rehired as a manager at this store. i’ve heard from another SSV that if my store doesn’t get its shit together we could close. by the way; i trained at another store for a month but i’ve only been at this store for like 5 weeks.

There really doesn’t need a reason. Given his background is enough, and the inappropriate relationship between him and the SM is enough. If OP is scared of him, that’s a reason.

I’m in no way discrediting or saying OP’s feelings aren’t valid because they absolutely are.
Corporate just won’t do anything unless something happens to op directly. I’m not saying OP should endure feeling uncomfortable but nothing happened to him. Unless op is somehow involved in the situation it’s not his business. Inserting yourself will only make things worse.
What’s going on between the shift and the SM may be inappropriate but it’s not op’s business or place to say anything. It’s a shitty reality but it’s true.
If it bothers op he should go to his DM or RM. let them handle it.
