I have a way of being nice but taking no shit. If someone tries to walk all over me, I take them to the back and tell them sternly but tactfully that I don’t appreciate that kind of behavior and it’s disrespectful. If you’re stern but nice ppl respect u more.

I’m definitely super nice, but I am also confident. This has come with age and experience teaching, personally. But this has also grown when I’ve been in work situations where effectively delegating tasks is a sink or swim situation.

I’d start there: start delegating tasks, giving super kind tips and pointers, communicate with the team on all fronts, and be confident in all that you do. You already have everything you need to be a great person in that next position inside of you! Don’t be afraid to let it out :)
