A couple partners at my store and I decided we wanted to try finding a good way to use the malt powder cuz we dont like the shaken espresso drink with it, and we found out its really good in a mocha frappe and in vanilla sweet cream foam. i really hope we have the option to add it to other stuff similar to vanilla bean powder so we can get that stuff more often once its out. im not posting it online because i dont want people coming in and asking for it when its not even out, but i really wanted to share with other baristas, not just my coworkers

So I'm evil and learned how to make milkshakes out of the frapps. I make a creme frapp with hwc, 1 scoop vb, 3 scoops chocolate malt, and a pack of salt. It literally tastes like a chocolate malt shake. So good.

I do not like the malt powder in the shaken espresso, personally. It’s a texture thing for me. We tried it in cold foam and a frappe as well and liked it. I love the oat milk shaken espresso. We’ve been a test site for oat milk all along and the brown sugar syrup just makes it. 🤤

I want to try the malt powder in the Oatmilk shaken espresso drink instead of the cinnamon in it? I think chocolate and brown sugar flavors go really well together. My manager doesn’t want us to open the malt powder yet bc we’ll have to throw out the rest of it after partner tastings if we open it this early before launch. I haven’t seen the packaging so I’m assuming it’s like the size of a matcha powder bag, so it makes sense to not open it yet. But I’m so impatient haha.
EDIT: I also hate our almond milk so I highly doubt I’d like that new drink anyway. So, I want to find a way to like the malt powder when we can try it at my store.

There was a malted mocha Frappuccino as a LTO I only saw one summer. It was really good and had an insane amount of calories, lol.
