Don’t read the google reviews. That’s a waste of your time and energy.

i personally don’t, my coworkers talk about the bad reviews 24/7

Feel free to pass on my advice. People already spend ton much time online doing things that don’t advance them as people.

Managers can’t stop people from posting bad reviews. That’s not their job. If something happens at the store they can step in but they can’t do anything about what people put online. You’re also in customer service it’s one of the downsides of the job. You can’t let it bother you. It’s not meant to be personal.

hmmm i didn’t know about that. My manager told us as soon as customers start cursing or verbally abusing us we have to report them so she can have a conversation with them. But i guess she really didn’t mean that 🥲 thank you for ur insight!

Verbal abuse and cursing someone else out in person is different than a nasty post online. Your manager is correct. You have to report it so they can speak to said person directly.
I thought a customer was going to come at me through the window when I first met them. She wouldn’t accept a drink made by one of our baristas who did nothing to her. Called one of our other baristas a dumbass. I get it. My manager had to talk to her and things are fine now. If this was online there’s nothing my manager could’ve done. Some of the reviews I’ve seen call out people by name. It’s not ok but you can’t stop them from posting that stuff.

I really didn’t mean to sound like an ass earlier and I apologize for coming across that way. I do hope things get better at your store. People are something else and it just feels like they’re getting worse.
