Could I get in trouble for reporting my store to PCC about COVID? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ArdinGarden
Since February started at least 4 of my coworkers have quarantined for COVID, though I’m not 100% sure they each have tested positive and have symptoms. Ive definitely worked with 3 of them and have not been told to isolate or quarantine.

Should I report my store to PCC? I’m mostly scared about if PCC will let my SM know about my report, as he already doesn’t like me and would jump at an opportunity to fire me. Nearly half of our store has left because of him or been fired. Will anything even happen?

I’m tired of risking my life over slightly above minimum wage work.

You can make an anonymous report. he also can’t fire you for not feeling safe at work during a pandemic that’s not a just cause for termination.

If you're nervous to contact prsc, reach out to your dm first. Every time a partner actually tests positive the sm has to alert the dm, and the dm gives the sm a list of partners exposed.

A couple things - if partners only have symptoms but don't get tested, or test negative, *only* that partner isolates. Partners cannot be forced to get a test.

You only have to isolate if you worked with a positive partner two days before their symptoms (or the day of and before obv). If you worked with them only on Monday, and they got sick on Thursday, you would not isolate.

If your dm is sending the list to this sm, and the sm isn't isolating anyone, it's very peculiar that the dm hasn't noticed isolation pay being input on payroll. They receive it on a report for things like overtime every Monday.
