Starting my transfer to early? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by PlurpleCacti
I'm looking to move to Tucson AZ by the middle of June or beginning of July. I'm a SS so it's been a little rough finding shift positions, but now there's a few positions available at stores I really enjoyed when I visited last. I just don't know if it's way to early to start my transfer process or not.
I transferred to TX from NC at the end of November last year and it took forever for that to process.

You have to stay at the store you transferred to for at least 6 months, which since you transferred in November means you have around 2 months to go until you can initiate the transfer process (it will be rejected if you start now). Besides that, there's no such thing as starting the transfer process too early. In fact, the earlier the better.

The 6 months rule is a myth and not upheld by prsc. You simply have to be in good standing.

Start it now, it's best to get the ball rolling so your receiving SM can plan for staffing. Especially as an ssv because they may need to promote someone and could hold off for you.
