dont stress out! we arent getting paid enough to take our mistakes personally. make it right, and then forget about it, thats what the customers do when you make a mistake so take it easy on yourself. You got this! Good luck.

stay calm, ask for help, and always look at the sticker before handing a drink out. make sure payment clears before you hand the complete order out. keep track of who is at your window (i keep the “does the customer want a receipt” screen up until they drive away so i can check the order)

i’m sure there are a ton of more questions about ingredients. what’s the quickest way for a beginner to reference the drink contents? I’ve seen cards mentioned before but at the store I’ve been training at, i have not seen them. thank you 😊

the POS actually has a side bar that will show you the ingredients! ask your trainer to show you if they don’t point it out (they should)

🤷🏼‍♀️ get put there a lot so I’ve learned to deal with it. I’m not a fan of window but I like DTO.

just remember that, at the end of the day, it’s JUST COFFEE! nothing to stress about, it’s not the end of the world, and if customers get mad at you, that’s not your problem 🤷🏼‍♀️

easier said than done lol but yes you’re absolutely right

my advice is:

let rude or fast customers know you’re new

repeat the order back to them. it’s kinda dumb but it helps a lot

make sure to double check if drinks are hot or iced

anytime someone gets say a drink that comes with whip on it think frap, mocha, etc. and they want an alternative milk. ask them if they want whipped cream. like my trainer drilled that into me it’s so important.

for teas ask if they want sweetener. if yes just tap liquid cane sugar if not then none obvi

do NOT try to solve a problem by yourself it doesn’t go well for anyone. immediately get a manager or shift.

if someone is being rude to you for no reason. call them tf out. you don’t deserve anyone’s shit. i would apologize for the inconvenience explain i’m still in training. and say please don’t be rude towards me i’m still learning. have a good day.

and relax! you’re going to feel incredibly rushed but within a week or two you should be okay on drive! good luck! you can do it!

I was doing DTR training today too, only a few mistakes but luckily those customers were really nice about it. Best part was definitely getting to see our 4 legged customers and their pupcups.
