Has anyone done the ASU/College Achievement Program through Starbucks? Is it worth it? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by zombiecabbage
One of the reasons I decided to get a job at Starbucks was so I could do their college achievement program and attend ASU Online. I'm about to graduate with my Associate's this Fall, so ideally I would like to transfer to ASU online right after that. I was wondering if anyone has used this program and if it's as worthwhile as they make it out to be.

I’m graduating in december and I have loved it!! It’s mostly self paced and is actually set up to be online, unlike all the other schools that were forced to go online this past year. Just a heads up, only tuition is free. Books and fees are gonna be on you. They pay 58% up front and you pay 42%, and at the end of the semester you get that 42% reimbursemed. You don’t even need to pass your classes, you just need to be employed at starbucks still! It really is a great program and deal and it’s the only reason I’m still here. I feel like I have gotten a really good education through online. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!

it is amazing! they give you a 42% scholarship upfront and pay you back the 58% at the end of the semester as long as you passed and are still employed with starbucks. it’s a super easy enrollment process and my success coaches have been amazing at answering all of my questions. you should go for it!

Just fyi, you dont actually have to pass your classes! You can fail and they’ll still reimburse you. The catch is though, they only reimburse up to 135 credits. So if you keep having to retake classes it’ll add up and so if you go over that 135 it’s on you.

I stayed with Starbucks specifically to get my degree through ASU after getting my associate's degree from the local community college. I graduated in December! Overall it was a great experience! Plus getting that degree debt-free is so so smart.
