Interviewed last year and got to the 2nd round interview with two DMs. Was given some feedback to work on by my DM.

We got a new DM a few months ago and they asked me to interview last Friday.. Got my feedback today and was offered the ASM position.

I'm beyond thrilled. Been a shift for over 5 years and within the last two years have been really focused on getting promoted... I feel like my hard work has finally paid off.

Tips for others trying to promote:
I focused on coaching conversations that reinforced standards, drive thru times, customer experience and and built up my team. Had clear examples of situations and described them using the STAR model with a focus on what resulted from coaching and what was learned. How did the team grow and develope as a result?

I also emphasized clear communication and role clarity, while at the same time being able to flex my plays when needed. Always be able to explain why and let your team know the reason why you do something.

I referred back to one of the company values and linked it as an inspiration for a lot of my leadership style.
