I’m 17 and Starbucks was my first job.
Honestly, I think it depends on your area. My store is small with no drive through so we only get busy in bursts. The training was ok but a lot of things I had to either learn on my own or gradually find out, which was stressful for a bit but now it’s ok. The partners are all really nice and I also work with a few family members so the atmosphere is good most of the time.
Perks-wise, spotify premium and therapy have been really nice, pay is average nothing special, and the current partner food and drink deal going on is incredible but only lasts till June right now.
Overall, i really enjoy working here now but the first few months were very stressful. If there’s a less busy store in your area I do recommend starting there as a first job, but bigger stores may not be worth the extra challenge.
