I've met a few who are like that. I'll never know why but I'll never question it either.

On an unrelated note though...

It’s always nice to see someone enjoying their job but at my particular store there’s a bunch of bootlickers who happen to be bootlickers who don’t do work?? What’s frustrating to see is that there are partners doing a majority of the workload while floating even when they’re not supposed to be because we’re busy and the bootlickers aren’t doing jack shit. Glad they enjoy the job though!

I mean I guess some people just really like it. I don’t work at SBUX to pay bills, so I feel like I enjoy myself more. But some ppl just love it and don’t care if they have to do other things to make ends meet I guess.

I like the job. I like my coworkers and a lot of my regulars. I like that I have health insurance even though I'm only part-time. Not many companies offer that. I like that I have the ability to go back to school later. I like the flexibility of the job. Starbucks isn't a bad company to work for. I do wish I could make enough to support myself and my kids if something were to happen to my husband but overall it's not a bad place to work. You're the one who has a negative attitude

try getting a job at some Wendy’s or Sonic and see how the environment feels like there. Starbucks is not nearly as intense as other fast food places, it has competitive wages, offers astonishing benefits like college tuition reimbursement, ridiculously cheap health, vision, and dental insurance even for part-timers, free therapy through Lyra, CUP fund, and a whole bunch of benefits that every single one of the partners has access to. And you get company stocks and stuff, too? I’m in college and I live with a roommate, and I believe that Starbucks was one of the best options for me to get through school—don’t get me wrong, it’s not six figures, but it’s still a great place to work at. If you don’t like it that much, why not find some place that would offer you something better?

I think I get why we have bootlickers at my location because ((its sad)) the jobs they have previous or before were worse with benfits, hours, managment, you name it etc. So I think they just were like woah what- having people who actually want to send you home because youre not feeling well????
