after 5 years of employment this was my first week as a “customer”
every drink i got this week(3 shots with some syrup) was different, with only one of them from my last store being made right. i’m the first person to understand 1000% the starbucks struggle TRUST ME but damn.... i feel sick saying i understand why customers get so upset....
i always get blonde espresso but 4/5 times it’s regular and i HATE our regular espresso
today there wasn’t even the SINGLE pump of WM in it
i’m gonna drink it and i won’t complain in person because i do not need to make anyone’s day harder
just a little rant....

99% of the time when I order a flat white at a store that isn’t my own, it’s not made with ristretto shots. I’ve just started ordering lattes with an extra shot and specifying that I want them to be ristretto—it’s probably annoying to anyone on bar who knows I’m just getting a flat white and actually knows how to make one, but unless I order it like this, most of the time my drink comes out wrong. Starbucks is expensive, so I understand when people are upset about not getting what they paid for! (Just not cool when they have an attitude about it!)

i know i spent $11.50 on two drinks this morning mine was wrong my bosses was half full because it was a hot soy chai..... even when i was a barista i always made sure drink quality was priority.

Just before I left we were all told that flat whites aren't made with ristretto anymore and this was across all stores in the UK. I once asked for a flat white with ristretto and they said "do you mean a cortado" and 🤦♂️

I mean do you have a lot of people come back and complain about drinks being made wrong?? That's crazy to me, lmao! My drinks are always extra so I am good w whatever i get but the blonde espresso error noooo.

when i would make my drink at work it would be even more extra but i’ve “dumbed” it down and deal with it but it’s just horrible sometimes.

This is why I make every drink 100% to standard and try and guide my coworkers to do the same. For the most part, they all agree that they don’t want people to come to our store and be like “I got it different yesterday!” (We get enough “the other store does it this way!”) and still some of my coworkers refuse to make some drinks right because they think it’s quicker. It isn’t. I definitely feel like my store is better amongst others. I worked at a different store on Christmas and they didn’t even use tea shakers for refreshers or tea. And they all put whatever random lid they wanted to on drinks (nitro lids on literally anything it didn’t matter and regular cold lids on cold foams. They did not care).

Hey, if we messed up your drink, we will happily remake it. As long as you're honest and nice about it, i will happily remake it for you. Im human and have messed up several drinks. Or if you really feel the need, you can go to another starbucks with the cup sticker and/or receipt and ask for it to be remade. We have a remake policy for customer satisfaction for a reason 😉👍

Haha oops, i missed that part. I get it, but also you should remember how many drinks youve made and accidentally messed up, it totally happens. And it's only fair to get the drink you pay for :)
