Woman wanted a grande almond milk white mocha. She had her app open to price check? She proceeded to fight that we were charging her way too much for a grande almond milk white mocha.
We eventually had to get our manager involved bc she just kept yelling numbers at the poor dto. Turns out her “price check” was for a tall white mocha, no alternative milk.
Then she has the ~audacity~ to say, “I don’t care. This is ridiculous. My tank is almost empty and I don’t want to run out of gas in your drive-thru.”
Lady. You stated a fight over like 70 US cents. I don’t know what to tell ya lol
I’m usually very compassionate towards even our most opportunity of guests, but this one felt like a fever dream haha. Thanks for hearing my tale of woe

Rare customer here. Seriously? Low on gas and they're trying to discount a Starbucks? IDK, my 'fellow' humanity amazes me.

I think it's more about what kind of person goes to Starbucks in a pandemic. Either they're really addicted, or they just don't care that people's lives are in danger. So now all the people that said "well, I'd be helping to flatten the curve if I just made coffee at home." aren't coming in, and we see a bigger number of "DOESN'T MATTER IF SOMEONE DIES, I NEED MY ALMOND MILK CHAI WITH NO WATER AND 16 PUMPS, AND MAKE IT EXTRA HOT CUZ ITS ALWAYS COLD!!"
