I got this fascinating delivery order a couple days ago. I filled it to the first line and put the base and syrup in, but my shift told me to just fill the whole cup with milk 🤷‍♂️ wwyd? (i.redd.it)

The “fill to the brim” standard does not apply to frappuccinos. As ice is *the* core ingredient.

When someone orders a frappuccino this way you’re supposed to give them a half empty cup or encourage them to order a “no ice” iced latte instead.

A no ice frapp? What fresh hell is this?
Funky-squirrel 10 points 2y ago
Maybe people expect to get those bottled Frappuccino things they sell at gas stations and cvs

Do whatever the label says. Do everything you would normally do for this drink, but leave out the scoop of ice. because it's a delivery I might try to call the customer to see what they meant, since they might not understand what a frapp is.

I was going to just put everything in except the ice, but when i put it on the counter my shift told me to fill it up with milk so it didnt look so empty and have them complain. I honestly dont know what they wanted, we never got a complaint and i havnt seen the order since

I just see a tall caramel frap with three pumps of syrup I will not just serve Luke warm caramel milk with whip
westhawk777 2 points 2y ago
But that’s what they asked for. It’s a delivery, I would bet they want to blend it at home I stead of getting a melted mess.
Stovetopstuffnbox 1 points 2y ago
We’re not supposed to do anything that fundamentally ruins the drink. No ice in a frap fundamentally destroys a frap
westhawk777 1 points 2y ago
it’s not ruining the drink if that’s what the customer wants. especially in this case where it’s really obvious why they asked for no ice
Golden_Biscotti 4 points 2y ago
We have a few customers at my store that like them this way. If you fill it up to the first line and blend it without the ice, it still comes out filling the cup. Instead of blending the ice, it just foams the milk I guess
ThrowawayTheOmlet [OP] 7 points 2y ago
I guess, but its a delivery order, by the time it got to the person all the foam would be gone. So gross
lonelybarista 3 points 2y ago
I know of a couple delivery regulars that do this, since fraps get all melty and gross by the time they’re delivered. They add ice and blend it themselves at home. Seems stupid to me, why go through all the trouble for an overpriced milkshake?

last time this happened my shift called the person who ordered it (they’ve delivery ordered before) and the lady was like “oh i was just testing out the button” and my shift just said that we can’t make her FRAP with no ice. bro testing the button??????
chowderchop 3 points 2y ago
Testing out the button... 🤦🏻‍♀️
P_2_P 1 points 2y ago
Did you add the whip and drizzle?
miakodank 1 points 2y ago
Do people really understand what this is when they order it ??? Ahh
vietlazed 1 points 2y ago
Oh I love making them even throws in the blender. Going the mile. Then end reaction is priceless

we just do really light ice and send it like that, a lot of the people don't realize it can't be made properly without at least a bit of ice 🤷🏼‍♀️
