So I just started at Starbucks and it’s really overwhelming and i’m trying to get the hang of everything but I was wondering what shoes you guys wear? I was thinking of wearing my doc martens but was just curious what you guys wear. Also any tips for a new barista? Thanks!

I have nonslip black shoes that I found at walmart, they were pretty cheap but they’ve lasted me about a year so 🤷🏻♀️

Sketchers are actually really good for work, nonslip and durable.

my co-workers wear docs but I don’t understand how. it’s so uncomfortable for me. I wear sketchers non slip, https://www.skechers.com/women/shoes/work-relaxed-fit-eldred---dewey-sr/76564W_WHT.html?CAWELAID=120015390001650295&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=111513279292&CATCI=pla-340958995867&utm_kxconfid=so3yjxz47&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6qGO4LKX7wIV0dXACh2RnAgGEAQYASABEgLY3_D_BwE
they keep me good for a 8 hour shift, but not much after

I have the same ones in black. I agree. They are great for your shift but as soon as I walk out the door my back and feet hurt lol

I got these lightweight shoes from sketchers and they’re machine washable so they’ll clean easier. Otherwise I just wear adidas with a rubber bottom and work appropriate colors.

walmart nonslip shoes are amazing. i had some with dr scholls in soles that came with the shoe and i wore them for over a year lol i bought some nice looking black vans and they are so flat and slippery when i do the floors but they look so good haha

Docs have shit for arch support. I guess they look cool (they did when I was young, about 309 years ago) but awful for what a real days work will do to your feet.

I have the shoes from Walmart, I forget the brand name.."Work Safe" or something like that. They come in black and yellow boxes. Lasted me about a year. You need those shoe pads in them though, they aren't super comfy but I've been feeling more steady on my feet in them when floors are damp. 👍

you NEED nonslip shoes, the floor is constantly wet. if you like vans, they have a good nonslip comfy shoe
