Not sure what to do now (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by HippieinBlack
I have recently started working the night shift and I love it! I wanted this change because I was unhappy working during the morning and I wasn’t learning much. Now that I’ve been working at night, I feel so much better and I’ve made improvements on bar. The problem is, I don’t get very many hours. When I started working, I was at 30 hours. Now I’ll be lucky if I have 3 shifts a week. I don’t want to go back to mornings, but at the same time, I’m not getting any hours. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for reading.

It’s always good to check in with other stores in your district , or particular baristas and see if they have shifts you can cover? Or let them know to give you a call if they need a borrowed partner. Some places are more strict about that because of covid but for the most part it still happens where I’m at.

Talk to your SM. Tell them you’re interested in more hours and would like to work nights.
