24 gift cards through the drive thru (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by CLEf11
Seriously? Someone ordered 24 gift cards through the drive thru while we were extremely busy. I said "is there any way you could come in?" Entitled customer said "not really"
I was so beyond annoyed 😠

Did you do a quantity ring-up or scan the cards individually? lol

My shift ended up ringing them on the front cash register to save time... It's the principle of the matter though. Be courteous, use common sense, don't order 24 gift cards through the drive thru. If she'd come in she could've been in and out instead of waiting in our insane, running 5 mins behind line

Lol it’s Starbucks what do you expect. Won’t be the first or last time sadly.

I know I've seen crazy entitlement before but it doesn't stop being obnoxious

I had someone order 15 venti fraps during peak. Then complained that they were watery when they finally got them. Had to remake them. Batched blended like crazy lol. Barista life.

It doesn't help you now, but there's a way to batch activate the cards. I'm bad at explaining it but there's a couple good posts. Hope that never happens to you again!

I know and Ive done it but even doing that with 20 is gonna take awhile and there are just certain things you don't do in the drive thru especially when we're busy and that's one

I agree. Sometimes I wonder if customers think the drive thru is a magic zone where time is irrelevant. Especially when they mobile order at the box during a rush?? Ma'am, you will park and get it when you get it.
