Right!!?!?! Why was it so busy?! Even for our small town location we were kinda slammed... it was the warmest say we had in a while, maybe that’s why

We ran out of grande cold cups! We got a box this morning!!! WE RAN OUT OF CUUUUPS!!!

I fetched some from the store across town and they were dead all day. ._.

I haven’t taken that many orders or made that many iced espresso brown sugar oat milk drinks in my life.

I'm a relatively new at bar, and solo barred all day! I did really good actually per my shift and im thrilled!

So many people ordered in bulk today, and idk if it was because of this or nah. I pulled one sticker out for Sarah and it says “1 of 10”, then finish that order to see that Veronica has “1 of 17”😭😭😭

We did 8.7k.

I didn't know this promotion was coming, since I don't have the app.

A grown-ass, taxpaying adult man came into our store and DEMANDED someone "with authority" and threw the biggest hissy fit I've ever seen in all of my years in working customer service. He was PISSED because he moble ordered a drink to get his free one, and my shift tried to explain to him that it isn't instantaneous and it'll take a a few days for him to get it and he started arguing with her. He took off his mask, and since he was bald he looked (and was behaving) like a 6' newborn baby that needed to take a nap and then just left the store without putting it back on

Literally was so busy..... not the busiest ive experienced but it’s definitely in the top 5 lmao.

I walked into my shift and was on bar 2 for mobiles. There were already like 15 tickets stuck on the clear divider in between bars. It was wild glad to hear we weren’t the only busy Starbucks. Lmao

Dude, I came back from a vacation today, and nobody told me about the promotion, and I had 2 callouts... today was rough

Omg this was my second day and me and my trainer were trying to make drinks and I was just like - is it usually this busy? My trainer said no I was like 🥲

The close was ROUGH. Like I didn’t have ANY time earlier on to get the milk count, temps etc. done before we closed -_- we even had an extra closer but got out an hour late :( I’ve never been so close to the brink of having an emotional breakdown at work lol 🤪

Our manager didn't schedule for it either there were 3 of us.

I literally cried for at least a quarter of my shift today. I did bar by myself for 6 hours of my 8 hour shift 😭 I've never actually cried on the clock before, but I was so overwhelmed and frustrated I couldn't even care anymore.

YES! We still have the old espresso machines so we were getting f**led on all the new blonde shaken drinks. Our one blonde machine couldn’t keep up and neither could my patience 😂

I knew about the promo thing going on so I was super prepared to walk into work and see absolute chaos, and considering this was my first day back after a car accident & a back injury a few days ago, I was nervous. But we were so dead it was almost suspicious...MOP was turned on and we got barely any mobile orders.

Luckily I didn't work today but one of my coworkers said we were down an oven, the computer, and the drive register. 😅

it was crazy, we were understaffed too😅 but yea everyone who worked today, the REAL MVPs👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So I’m not a partner anymore. But I will say this because you don’t hear it and cannot hear it enough.

Getting a coffee from you rock stars means so so much to us. Getting a bit of Starbucks once in a while is one of the few things I let myself do during the pandemic. It means A LOT to us that you are there for us, helping us be just a little bit normal.

yeah...my last shift i worked main bar for the first time during a morning rush. we were short staffed and it was stressful but i’m proud of myself for keeping my cool!

When we had rough days, the crew would meet up with the closers and all go out for drink. We usually grew tighter as a crew after rough days.

We were out of blonde by the time I came in at 3 pm and down several bottles of the brown sugar syrup. We only had one machine that was grinding the closest thing we had to blonde espresso and every single drink, DT and mobile *all* had blonde espresso. DT and cafe traffic flowed as well as a river of bricks.

We had 3 closed stores near us and I worked a 12 hour day 💀💀💀

Dang. You know what all baristas are hot. I’m deciding this. We’re all too beautiful for the bullshit we deal with

Not gonna lie this promotion was some grade A bullshit.

Yesterday was mad busy and I was on bar alone for most of my shift. We have the old espresso machines so I was just queueing up blonde shots all day for those new drinks. Went through probably 10 bags of blonde espresso

We were dead as fuck yesterday. I opened and we had about 20 customers in the first 2.5 hours! By the time I left we served about 40-50 total... I don't know how it was so remarkably dead, we were expecting a massive surge because of that promotion!

I did bar for 5 and a half hours with constant mobiles and deliveries plus a busy drive; and thats not even considering that our dm thought it was a great time to install lights behind the fridges further cluttering our already cramped bar. If it were any other two people on bar today the store wouldn’t be standing.

WHY WAS IT SO DAMN BUSY???

Dang I’m happy I didn’t add to the stress of visiting my Starbucks today... even though I REALLY needed it 🥲

Oh how fun it was LOL. Was on a 4 man, 2 of which being green beans and then me and the supervisor. Needless to say I was on bar for my entire shift. :( Green beans did great tho!

We have our mobile orders turned off because of inventory constraints, and there was a woman who told us yesterday that we turned off mobile orders on purpose so she couldn’t get a free drink lmao ya got us! We woke up and said “fuck this customer in particular”

Ikkkk it was so bad and we were only given 3 partners at night. We barely took breaks and my SSV didn’t even take a 10 or a full half. Prob the worst day I’ve had in a while besides a 2 person play happy hour 😭

i work at a small cafe only location, our labor is way down and it was only me (shift) and one barista..we were SLAMMED. she did amazing. i couldn’t do any of my shift stuff. still had to run our breaks. ran out of things constantly. but WE DID THAT!

Used the entire clean play time to close regularly. Worked 10 hours yesterday and WOW DM and SM on top of shadowing SM were in to watch us die on the floor. It was so difficult for my team

Riiiiiight there with you. 6 years and today was WILDY INSANE. I tried running a 3 person play shift (just me as the shift, one green bean and a less new partner) - it was ROUGH. Thankfully my manager was there after placing the order to help on the floor.

It was definitely insane! It was so crazy that after opening, I had a shift interview, and then worked until 4:30 💀💀💀

Through all of the chaos our printers all broke and we ran out of whole milk, strawberry acai, half and half, and nearly ran out of nonfat! I wanted to cry.

Today was a total and utter nightmare. No one was prepared because to my knowledge even managers didn't know about this three weeks ago. I've never seen our baristas work so hard. Also... Just being a cry baby here but I definitely think we deserve something extra for this madness. I don't know what but something

My feet hurt from being on bar and running back and forth since there were only 3 of us after 3pm 🙃

The absolute pain working today ... I work at a licensed store that looks like a corporate store, and there was just myself, a shift lead, and my barista. By the end of my shift the bar and warming area were absolutely destroyed. I had to stay an extra hour or so to make sure the incoming workers would be stocked and ready! Let’s hope the next coming days are nothing like today 😭😭
