Thank god for masks, they hide all my reactions when I’m on bar listening to customers be idiots in dto (self.starbucksbaristas)

Unfortunately they don't hide mine. My eyes are my most expressive feature

I have resting angry brows 😂 I can just be standing kinda spacing out and someone asks 'what's up, you look mad' and I'm like -I forgot I existed for a sec, sorry

Fucking same. People constantly ask me ‘what’s wrong, why I’m mad, what I’m depressed about’ and I wasn’t in that moment, but getting asked that all the time does make me mad. Sorry I don’t have a constant friendly face.

SAME!! So annoying that I express everything I feel. I got in trouble- sorry no ummm I got “connected” with about appearing to be disconnected from my new store. Yeah...and? I’m dead inside when I’m around people who are not my people. #missingmyoldstore

This was the conversation between the DTO and customer yesterday:

DTO: Hi Welcome to Starbucks. How are you this morning?

Customer: I’m fine. I would like *proceeds to order 4 drinks*

DTO: Anything else to add to your order?

Customer: What did the car behind me get?

DTO: The car behind you?

Customer: Yes, what did they get?

DTO: *visibly confused and looking at me to silently confirm this lady asked what she just asked*

DTO: Um, well I actually don’t know what they ordered as they are behind you and haven’t ordered yet.

Customer: Oh. Well I’ll asked again when I get to the window. Thanks.

I thought this was the funniest encounter we’ve had in a long time.
