Keep them at the speaker as long as possible to give the baristas on bar and warming time to make drinks/warm food. Ask them if they want a tray, a straw, ketchup or sriracha. Repeat their order after you take it. Is the drink hot or iced? Do you want to try any alternative milks? That kind of stuff

My manager tells me my time at the speaker has to be 30 secs and to not repeat their orders but I like to repeat it so the baristas can make it as they order but she basically wants me taking their orders as fast I can then hand them out as they pay

That's ridiculous. Drivethru time refers to time at the window, not time at the speaker. It can take 30 second for a customer to order 5 drinks but it takes WAY longer to make those

I always take their payment, hand out any food items while their payment is processing, ask them if they need a drink carrier if they have more than two drinks, ask if they need a receipt, hand back their card/change and then hand them their drinks.
