can i decline to transfer? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m currently training to become a ssv, my store has a few too many ssv while other stores need ssv. My manger has braught up me transferring stores once i train. do i get a say in where or when i transfer can i decline the transfer? I love my store and my manager and i would both prefer me to stay but does anyone had any information about this or has this happend to anyone?

I declined a transfer once just because the store they wanted me to go to was a bit farther away than I wanted to drive and next week I just happened to get “laid off”

As of right now my future store is still unsure. my manager wants me to stay and he said I MIGHT STAY at my store.

You can decline to transfer, in which case they can chose to not promote you if your store does not need any SSVs. Best of luck!

You can stay, it'll probably just take longer to get your promotion, as you'd have to wait for the spot to be available
