so i've only been working at sbucks for about a month, but i have a lot of things down. tbh i'm not great at warming and bar but i am really good at customer service roles (i enjoy doing solo drive). i pick up on things fast and still have to ask questions but one of my shifts and my asm is kinda treating me like i'm an idiot? like tonight i got a bunch of comments from my shift like "what do you think you're supposed to be doing right now" and him just kinda reteaching me things that i already know. i know i shouldn't take it personally and that they're just trying to help but then i got pulled off my break like a minute or two early even tho i was keeping track of time. it just put me in a rly bad mood for most of the shift. this isn't my first job and i'm an adult, i don't need to be babied. ugh idk

i definitely felt like this my first couple of months too. it felt like every other minute somebody would find something to critique me about. it often does get better with time, but if it really is an issue don’t be afraid to ask about transferring to a different store (especially if you know the workers there are nicer!)

My manager at my night job is like that, it’s infuriating and leaves me feeling like a bad employee when I know I am quite a good one. Some leaders are just like that, it’s super shitty and not okay but I would just recommend you try and brush it off and remind yourself that you are a good worker and it’s honestly how your boss probably handles the stress of the job. Sorry you’re dealing with that!!!
