So this child customer came into our cafe with all his little friends,, ordered the drinks,, and scanned his phone app which put the name “Lord Dingus” on the ticket. As much as I’d love to call our customers that.. is it allowed?

I just yell out the drink order not the name, I’m a person not your own personal entertainment. I’m not forcing myself to yell out “batman” or “daddy” to a room full of adults.

Some customers called my shift who was on DTO daddy the other day

Happens so frequently... I just don’t get what’s so funny about it

there was a rumor going around online a while ago that starbucks baristas HAVE to yell out whatever name you put, which came with an influx of people giving names like that -.-

BET LMAO I don’t have to do anything I’m not comfortable doing. Humanize your local baristas 2021!

one time the name was “shut up and kiss me” or something like that & it ended up being an old man i was so confused

I once had a customer ask me to write “Bitch” on the cup when asked for a name, I did not do that.

I like to use right now recovery as my name but it doesn’t print all of it... still will confuse the bar partners when I get it as mobile. We aren’t supposed to put offensive names on the order but you can’t control their in app name. Also just call out the drink if the name does not spark joy

This lady used to always say her name was "trump" or "maga" but I never typed it lol
