It tastes like a sour apple jolly rancher to me. Which is fine, it’s just not something that I enjoy enough to order at Starbucks. I don’t hate it, I just prefer other drinks.

It’s nasty. It’s way too sour and smells so bad.

the actual kiwi starfruit refresher, imo, is disgusting. the star drink is okay- tastes like green apple candy- but def not good enough compared to the other sbux drinks for me to get. we were out of kiwi starfruit for months at one point and i got like 2 orders for it in that whole time.

I think what actually happened was when it was supposed to launch originally it got recalled, and there was a rumor flying all over tiktok that it got recalled because it was unsafe so no one ordered it.

If the launch wasn’t botched, it probably would have done better tbh. I don’t think it’s because people don’t like it, more that they were afraid to try it because of the rumor and crappy launch. Honestly? It’s pretty good with lemonade if you like green apple jolly ranchers.

Idk why people hate it. I think it’s fine. A lot of the US didn’t grow up with star fruit tho so they aren’t used to the taste of it.

i’ve only ever heard bad things from customers that bought it to try it and regretted it immediately 😂 we quickly stopped selling them as fast and have more kiwi boxes in back than we’ll ever go through now

i’m sure some like it, but not nearly enough for them to keep it around for too much longer, realistically
