i am absolutely no expert and neither is my dad, but he told me to declare an amount, even if it’s small and not accurate. because they have no way of knowing how much in tips you get, but they DO know you get tips. so if you don’t declare anything, that could be a little suspicious.

so i’d recommend just declaring like $100 (or whatever random number) but take this with a grain of salt.

Most likely no-one will ever notice or care. But if the IRS audits you ***and*** notices then you'll have to pay up and probably get a fine for not reporting it accurately.

150million people pay taxes a year the irs charges less than 1,500 people on tax fraud for legal income a year so your chances are basically non existent for being prosecuted.
