There is a barista championship
Usually happens in April
Last years was canceled for obvious reasons and this years probably too
Usually the store votes for their barista championship and then all the baristas champs in the district go against each other
And then all the districts go against the region etc etc etc
So maybe he is your stores champion but maybe not? Just wants to be annoying about it

He sounds super annoying and full of himself. Unless he was amazing 2 years ago and lost all his skills he isn’t a real Starbucks champion as that hadn’t been a thing since covid.

Like the other person said above there was before covid but not now. So unless he has worked there since April 2019 at least then it’s possible. But at that point I would expect them to be a master at bar.
