Oh man Canadian geese are the worst. They're huge by large up north and aimlessly vicious. When I moved down south it was a shocker to see they're smaller and less aggro. The first month I moved I was at a park and saw a toddler go up to one and I screamed 'no' - everyone looked at me. The goose dead ass let the kid pet it. Meanwhile back home you can be 20ft away and they'll dive bomb you out of spite, and the smaller you are the worse the attacks xDDD

> Canadian geese

I was gonna say "As opposed to Canada geese" but apparently that's exactly true. Huh!
DingusFringle 2 points 2y ago
Bahaha I know it sounds weird but it's legitimate. I'm talking butt end northern Ontario to the most southern point xD who knew they'd be different. When I was staying in Kentucky they were also different than the absolute units back home (northern Ontario) - Smaller and not aggro ...it's very weird LOL

I live in Missouri and I know one of the colleges here has a twitter page for the geese 😂 people have been late to class because they're so mean
Slightly_Caffeinated 37 points 2y ago
Every day they wake up and they choose violence
frappeyourmom 25 points 2y ago
Just like customers.
SHAEMUSS 21 points 2y ago
Just honk louder and chase it, or grab it by the neck! (Canadians natural predators)
Kaywin 5 points 2y ago
so I shouldn't apologize to it while running away?
darkwolf523 21 points 2y ago

HULAGIRLthatLIFTS 15 points 2y ago

Kick it's shit it. It'll leave.
indynyx 1 points 2y ago
Wut.. don't do this. They're a protected species in Canada.
Hopefound 2 points 2y ago
My guy, migratory geese live, and primarily shit, all over my property every winter. They're assholes and if one charges me it's getting punted in the head. I won't advocate for killing them or running them down in a vehicle or whatever else, but if a goose directly comes for me? Night night.
indynyx 2 points 2y ago
Fam, I live on the west coast of Canada along a few major migratory birding routes. I know ALL TOO WELL what they're like.

Assholes.

But they're still protected up here, meaning if you're caught kicking one, even if it attacked you first, you could face some serious fines and much public shame. Even though we all agree they're assholes.
howdudo -4 points 2y ago
omg dont even do that. just look big and walk at it. in fact, put your hand out. ducks arent fucking gators or gorillas. They have no way to hurt you. no teeth. no jaw muscles. in a way, this goose, out smarted those humans
melanieissleepy [OP] 14 points 2y ago
oh it absolutely had teeth and was FLYING AT MY HEAD FULL SPEED idk how I could have outsmarted it here
Slightly_Caffeinated 6 points 2y ago
First off, I take it you’ve never been attacked by a Canada goose. Second of all, $1. And there’s a lot more news stories in the same vein.
conniedew 5 points 2y ago
They are highly dangerous, especially if you are walking near their nest. They will bite you and have caused many people harm. I had to have a special permit to remove nest from a place I was managing. We used long grabber sticks to remove eggs because a Canadian goose will return to lay its eggs where it was hatched!
