Congrats on working to develop! My biggest recommendation is that your Partner Development Plan (PDP) should be focused on YOU and your specific leadership goals, rather than your store. I recommend looking up the Lominger Career Architect which describes different leadership competencies and seeing which best fits you. Think of leadership skills you need to develop (ie time management, coaching, business acumen, etc) and then use what you’re working on at the store to build those skills. For example if you need to build skill in business acumen, you could look over the P&L with your SM or talk about how to improve your store’s bottom line.
Above all, remember that YOU control your own development. Everyone’s promotion story and timeline is a little different. Just focus on being the best leader you can be and you’ll get there!
