dress code questions (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by fxgloves
hey partners! i've been working at starbucks for about a month now and i really enjoy it, the only thing is that the dress code puts a little bit of a damper on my personal style. i always feel so boring while im working and it makes me feel less motivated and happy to be there (lame i know), so i try to perk up my outfit with fun accessories. ive been mainly sticking to headbands but i recently found a cool glasses chain on etsy i think could really be really fun, only problem is that i don't know if i can wear it or not. my store manager is pretty busy and i dont wanna bother her with something simple like this so i'm reaching out to my fellow partners. $1! let me know if you think i could wear this to my next shift!

Same! My SSV had on a Starbucks t shirt the other day with a rainbow of tie dye colors, pink, blue, yellow, how/when do these shirts become available? Literally everyone is sporting Sbux t shirts with colorful graphics and I’m just plain grey and black because I just started

I want to wear starbucks tshirts to work... yet something within me strongly recoils from the idea of taking the money Starbucks pays me and giving it right back to starbucks

I was hoping they were free!

I’ve taken to wearing necklaces and interesting masks to spiffy up the dress code

i think those are fine & super cute. the only time i saw dress code “enforced” (the partner was just reminded of the acceptable colors & it wasnt a big deal) was when someone was wearing a shirt that had some bright pink on it. i think as long as accessories don’t get in the way of your work and aren’t a safety hazard you should be good.
