rotate positions regularly to avoid burnout! i rotate positions at tens and lunches when possible. ask your baristas how you can support them. train your ears to listen for the sound of the door opening, the phone ringing and empty syrups pumping. DONT put yourself on a planted position, like DT or bar 1. always be support if you can. make your shifts fun! let them talk and make jokes while staying productive. don’t be afraid to hop on dishes and make sure to keep yourself in the rotation for trash runs/drains/floors etc so baristas don’t feel below you. my baristas always tell me that i’m their favorite because i don’t make them do anything i wouldn’t do myself and i think that’s really important. last, don’t be afraid to have actual coaching conversations! ask the partner what you can do to help them and how you can support them so they don’t think they’re in trouble-it’s most likely a learning opportunity for both of you. good luck!

Congrats !
Only thing I can suggest is to just take one thing at a time! Being a shift isn’t hard, you just have to find your groove and find what works out best for you.
Do things that will help the team out.
