When customers order VSC foam on a hot drink it makes me so mad. Like it literally melts right in the second you put the foam in. It doesn't even last even a couple seconds. Why the fuck are you making me waste time to foam the sweet cream when you'd get the same effect by just putting a splash of vsc in at the end. I truly don't understand. And i'll even tell customers it melts the second it hits the hot bev and they'll still be like "yeah i still want the vsc foam" i'll say "i can pour some vsc in at the end instead?"and they just stand firm "no i want the foam"
Like why must you hurt us like this. Why make us waste time and effort and make us have to rinse an extra thing for no reason???

I will say it is annoying but it honestly doesn’t take me that long to make the foam BUT we had a lady who’d order it every day and she would come back five minutes later every time and complain because her foam melted and everytime I wanted to scream
(She eventually got banned from our store longggg story but she was a Problem with a capital p, for soo many reasons. and I’m so glad we don’t have to deal with her bs anymore)

How is it much different from whip on a hot drink though? I get that whip is more stable, but if they’re going to drink it right away then shouldn’t it be fine? Both are more or less just aerated, cold heavy cream and vanilla tbh.
Don’t get me wrong, I am totally with you that foam is the most annoying and terribly inconvenient thing to make and internally cry every time I see it on a sticker but ultimately I’ve made hot drinks with foam before and it’s seemed to hold up perfectly fine, didn’t melt right away 🤷♀️

idk how yours stays but no matter what i try the foam melts literally instantly. at least whip lasts a minute and is already readily available 😭

True about readily available! Idk, any time I’ve done VSCCF on a hot drink it’s been fine at least for the 10 seconds between pouring and adding a lid, idk what happens after I hand it out tbh lol but I’m sure it still tastes good! But I also never get sweet stuff like that on drinks except as a treat so I probably would find it good anyway. Like the tiktok white mocha drink? I wouldn’t be caught dead ordering/making one of those for myself as they’re just sugar bombs in a cup but I’m sure they’re so delicious.

I’ve asked customers before why they get cold foam on a hot drink and a couple have said that it makes the drink “creamier”
