Irritating things customers do(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by the_price_is_right96
I hate a lot of things customers do, but here are some things I really hate: When they say "I need" you probably don't need it, but okay. When they order things the way they already are, like ordering a chai latte or caramel Macchiato, with no whipped cream. Or ordering a vanilla latte with the same amount of pumps of vanilla that it comes with already. (This one is a fairly recent thing) why do they feel the need to reach around plexi glass to get something they want? Don't they think the plexi glass is there for a reason? When they get mad at me for being out of something, or that we don't have something that's out of season, like any of these decisions. I had someone order a unicorn frappuccino the other day and then get irritated when I said we haven't had that in 4 years!

"I'll get a venti strawberry acai with light ice, no berries, 5 pumps of raspberry... and lemonade"
Like it's not their fault I now have to start over again putting their drink in but I'm still mad about it.

I feel like with something *that specific* it's from a "secret menu" or a tiktok drink and they think if they don't actually order it by name they're getting it cheaper

Asking for no whipped cream on something isn’t that big of a deal or asking for a drink with the amount of normal pumps isn’t that big of a deal. Not everyone is a regular at Starbucks and they just want to make sure there’s no whip on it or know how many pumps are in a certain size.

I think it's more of the attitude on how they ask. Like if they ask because they don't know, it doesn't bother me. But sometimes you can tell by their attitude that they think they are smarter than the baristas and trying to seem like they know what they are talking about, that bothers me.

The tone in which people take with me gets to me too so I understand where you’re coming from. If people genuinely don’t know that’s one thing but when Their an ass about it it’s another.

I agree but, I always just say oh perfect that comes/doesn’t come with whip anyways ((: !!!

Okay random thing that bugs me is “I’ll JUST have (insert v specific drink order here)” and then when I tell them the total they want 5 more things. This isn’t a “just”

i have been known to pause a sec and repeat back, “okay, so you’d like (fill in drink ordered)?” sometimes they change their phrasing, some times it’s a lost cause
