i had someone do this to me when i was a green bean (like... a month old at most) and he bought a grande pike and gave me like... $2 then threw a quarter or something; whatever the total would be. and i had to pull out my phone bc i got overwhelmed and was trying to use the calculator as he's like mockingly telling me the amount he should get but im new and terrified of messing up with money and he's like "no it's this and this and i always do this because i give you the change as tip every day!" anyways my trainer comes over and helps me figure it out and he leaves. all good.

Before working at SBUX I worked at another fast food chain. We were out of pennies and this guy’s change was like, 11 cents or something. He wanted the change back and so I handed him 15 cents bc he threw a FIT over a goddamn penny and then proceeded to throw another fit because I gave him four extra pennies. He was like, “You know, If you can’t even count out 11 cents in change you will lose your job.”
Like thanks for the concern but I can count, I just don’t have the right amount of pennies in my drawer to count it 😂

I had a lady lose her shit bc i didn’t have dollar bills in my till and my supervisor couldn’t do anything, I suggested she use the quarters as tips for wherever she visited and she was so mad I thought I was gonna lose my job 😭

I had a guy give me a 20 and then got mad when I turned to him with his change and he was holding the like 76 cents. Like okay *sir* you could've spoken up
