Call the store :)

You have to make a phone call to the store. Technically a text is not sufficient and doesn’t comply with Starbucks procedure (despite what experience others might have) and you could be given a penalty or fired. If you call the store, ask for the shift or manger on duty and it should be totally fine though!!

I call the store first and if no one answers I text my SM and let them know that I won’t be coming and that no one answered the store phone, usually the best bet in my case. I guess you could tell the SSV instead/also after trying to call the store but in my case I know my SSV’s don’t check their phones too often.

My boss said to call the store and text him. He hates answering his phone so he says we're a lot better off texting - but also call the store so they know if you can.

My SM said to call him, not text. Doesn’t matter if he’s working or not. Couldn’t have been more clear. He’s a great SM.
