Question: can my boyfriend use my partner number?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by trashkittenxoxo
Hypothetically, if I'm 10 minutes from the end of my shift and my boyfriend comes in to pick me up, can he use my numbers to order my drink so that I can just clock out and jet?
I know he's not allowed to go without me through a drive thru or whatever but my jerk coworker tried to complain to my manager about me doing this....
I'm standing right there in the cafe, i'm just technically still on the clock, he's just the one making the order and picking up the drink before he goes out to wait in the car for me to finish up.

Technically no.

No. Also you seem to want to do anyways based on your replies, so why are you asking?

Tbh i'm "role playing" a coworker, maaaaybe took it a little too far lol.
I'm not okay with my team doing stuff like this. When I call it out, i'm treated like the jerk for saying something. As far as I know i'm also doing my job to call it out on the floor. But since it's my SM/SS doing it i'm kind of at a loss for how to approach the situation.

Technically has to be you but depends on how chill your shift is

Yeah normally we make our own drinks but this way I can make whatever chump is on bar make it for me lol
dazedandconfusedhere2 points2y ago
You’re not supposed to make your own drink though lmao

I know. See above comment.
I've been told to make my own drinks by my coworkers/shifts. They also tell me not to restock for the next shift, though, among other things that make zero sense and go against what i understand Starbucks standards to be. I have no idea what the deal is but i'm transferring out so I don't have to deal with this anymore.

If we're slow enough we sometimes just have the person who's on front or even DTO ring up our drinks while we're wrapping up so bar can make it and have it ready for us when we're leaving, going on break, or even just during our shift. 🤷🏻♀️

That makes sense and seems more in line with what I understand the rules to be.
