What’s your wildest customer story from this week?

The Usual “why is your restroom closed?” “the virus doesn’t even transfer that way” “can you make an exception for just me?”. love a good Karen interaction at least once a week. Also our stores been having a rough week with lots of stuff out of stock causing me to hear “yeah but I NEED it”... more times than I can count.

gotta love how everyone is an expert in virology these days 🙄 and yeah it’s a pain being out of so many things and it’s like... I’m not in charge of distribution ma’am I think you’ll survive without your strawberry frap for 1 week and if it’s really that big of a concern, look up what is available at each location via the app and find the location to visit if you really feel like you truly NEED it

a customer zooms thru the drive thru, pulls up to the window, and asks for more steamed milk for a drink she got 30 mins prior. now im telling her, ma’am we cant really do that.... youve already had half the drink ur just asking for more milk to fill it back up so no i’m not gonna do that for u. tells me to get my manager, i say sure there’s just the two of us here lemme grab her! and my shift, bless her, shes too nice so she opens the window gives her her steamed milk. i said “girl ur too nice u should have sent her away” BUT THEN the customer goes “thank u so much that other girl (me 🤗)was so rude!!”

to which my shift in charge says “yeah well it is 15 minutes past closing and we cant do this again for you.”

this lady really thought i was being rude cause i told her “ma’am we are closed i shouldnt even have this window open” that was my bad big whoops on my part for opening the drive thru window but still!! we were about to leave and i knew if i didnt just address it then, this lady would have caught us as we were leaving and annoyed us then.

I have a lot, but, I have a guy who argued with me TODAY about what a cappuccino was. I made a mobile order, and in it was a grande cappuccino. Now my favorite ex coffee master shift, taught me how to make a cappuccino properly. So I made it, and handed it out and the dude was like, “why is there so much foam?! there’s like no milk!” So i told him that’s how cappuccinos normally are, and he goes, “I’ve gotten this from other places. This is not how it’s made” I told him when he got it if it was too deflated, I wouldn’t mind making it again. I also told him when he started complaining that normally they are nothing but espresso and foam, but if he wanted a latte instead, I would make him a latte. Instead, he told me I was dumb and didn’t know how to do my job

The lady who insisted on a remake because her foam wasn’t pink. The barista included strawberry purée under the foam, you could see it but customer expected us to read her mind and blend it into the foam and tint it pink
