Thank you. I'm so glad that she heard you both say in unison "thanks Karen." You guys made my day and it felt nice to see at least some customers could see that we worked HARD today.
And to the Karen? The sticker said tall, which means you ordered tall. Nobody at this store is going to accidentally give you a tall instead of a grande. Instead you got two talls which is more than a venti when hot! You're welcome for giving you free bonus drinks! Even if you said "ew, I don't want that" because of the size! Have fun being upset that you got free stuff! I'm glad you know that even other customers hate you!

I had something similar when I finished a guy's order and I asked for his name. He was facing down and all I heard was mumbling. Ask again, more mumbles. With the mask and the screen, it's of course.harder to hear but this guy was not clear at all. Ask a third time and he looks straight up, lifts down his mask and yells 'John!!!!' out of fucking nowhere. He turned rude real quick. The two ladies behind him notice and look at me. I look to them I'm visibly distressed. He leaves and the two ladies walk up saying they felt bad for me and that I didn't deserve that. They gave me a $5 tip as a consolation.

i always scream back instinctively and that seems to put them in their place. i guess it does help having a decently busy/ loud store so i can just “yell over the mask or machines” if anyone says anything

omg same my customer service goes though the fucking roof when people yell at me. they’ll just be like “MICHAEL!” and i’m like “MICHEAL??? OK GREEEAATT DO U NEEED ANYTHING ELLLLSEEEE??? OK THANKK YOOOU HAVE A GREAAT DAAAY!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁

Same here! I had a younger girl (even though I’m dirt ass poor I work in a rich suburban area, so most of our customers are the entitled, influenster wannabe types) come through drive thru a little while back while I was working DTR/DTO and I tried so hard to take her order, but she was mumbling while looking down at her phone through the whole thing and didn’t seem to consider the prospect of speaking into the order box (I know, how dare I suggest such a thing).
After the first two attempts, I asked her politely to speak up as I was having a hard time hearing her. Well, her head snapped up so fast and she proceeds to straight up yell directly into the order box that she wanted a “VENTI CARAMEL MACCHIATO NO FOAM.” I proceeded to confirm, “oh, I see. You want a VENTI CARAMEL MACCHIATO NO FOAM?”
Well folks, she didn’t even wait for her total, she just sped up to the window, where I took her payment with the customerly service voice I could possibly muster. After I handed her her drink, she looked at me and spits out a “bitch” before speeding away. Was it a tad bit petty? Maybe. But was it worth it? You damn well better believe it was!
