Yeah it always hides in the crevices. And they don’t pull out as far as the old one so I have to tip the pitcher more.

My store was one of the first "test stores" in the US to get these machines. Been rockin it since early summer '19 and I can't even remeber what using an old bar is like anymore. Enjoy it!

Blonde espresso is my life. I had medium roast the other day and was like, "Gah! So bitter! Give me my blonde!" I know it defeats the purpose, but I wish they made a decaf blonde.

I’ve used the new machines in a few stores and absolutely love them. The shots are so perfect. My main store doesn’t have them yet though, and I don’t think we’re getting them any time soon. 😭😭

Drive bar tip. It’s faster to pull 2 double shots instead of 3 and 1 to get 4 shots.

Okay so apparently an unpopular opinion but my store has this machine and I HATE it. The shots mess up so much and it take pulling like 10 shots to get a good one and by that point the drawer is full and needs changed and the wand sucks that’s all for my mini rant

THIS! My store has resorted to calibrating it every 2-3 days because if we didn’t we would get error messages or literal droplets for a shot before it’d stop. Once it wouldn’t even pull ristretto shots during peak it was A MESS. BUT now with the espresso outages we can’t really calibrate it without wasting product so 🙃

You guys don’t calibrate daily? That’s the first task we do during opening. Turn it on, then set it it to auto calibrate so it’ll be done by open.

We calibrated it once before open, no issues. Didn’t calibrate the day after, no issues. By the 3/4th day was when we were having issues so we started calibrating it every other day or so. Then we got too low on blonde AND espresso beans and weren’t able to. I was the one who was like “hey let’s calibrate it and see”

Omg ok but also the espresso just tastes worse with this new machine ??? When I worked at a licensed store with the old ones the espresso tasted so good but when I moved to a corporate/visited other stores with the new machine the espresso just tastes awful ?? 😭

whaaaaaaat i really hated the old machine bc they slow the whole process down if you need blonde/decaf i feel you on the constant need for calibration

They’re great. Until they get over used and you keep getting “water flow low” or “coffee amount high” in the middle of peak and have to perform like 3 rinses 🙃 or use the other machines for shots 🙃

My store was supposed to get them but there's a load bearing pole in the corner of our bar which makes it impossible to fit the new machines in... So the only chance we have to get them is a remodel...... But we've been promised a remodel for the last 5 years and it's never happened

I transferred to what was the second store in western Canada to use these in summer 2019, the machines are great! Covid kinda killed that store though so I'm back to using some ancient mastrena's that need maintenance every other day

interesting i haven’t heard anyone in our area having issues but the old ones constantly broke down at my last store so lowkey might just be the brand lol

I heard the 1s break down more often but are a quicker fix. With the 2s they might not break down as often but when they do it's a bigger breakdown with a much more involved repair process where they have to take apart most of the machine.
