Haven't even had my first training shift yet but I had my "first sip" orientation type thingy today and got my apron n stuff. While I was there (and I went to the back) I didn't notice any lockers or places to put your stuff like a small bag or even just your phone. I don't have a car meaning I get picked up and dropped off so leaving things in the car isn't an option for me. Are there lockers? What should I do?
Also on what day do we get payed if we chose direct deposit?
And about the w4 tax form you do during onboarding, I'm only 16 and did it to the best of my ability... But no one teaches you about this stuff and it was really overwhelming when I tried researching it myself. I filled it out to the best of my knowledge but could I get in trouble if something is a little off 😯
Do any of y'all notice the barista cap is kinda flat? It doesn't really stay on my head or do I just have a big head ?
Ps, if your a fellow green bean who hasn't had their first sip or onboarding yet, would you like me to make a post bout what it was like for me?

Idk if it’s the same everywhere but pay is biweekly out here in Florida. Your w4 ensures you get your pay which would be on the next pay period for your store so you’d have to ask your manager, and if there’s any discrepancies your manager will you know. Most stores do have lockers but if you don’t have any in your store there should be no problem with you leaving your items somewhere in the back of house as long as your manager permits it and has a safe space for you that would make you more comfortable with it.

thank you! I know sbux pays biweekly throughout the us but do u know on what day of the week hq sends it out?

That all depends on your bank. I had td bank for a while and it came Friday mornings around 3am. Then I switched to chime mobile banking and it came Wednesday around 11am

For the w-4, I’d say talk to your parents about how you should’ve filled it out and see if you did it right
If they say you filled something out wrong, I *think* there’s a way to correct it online (but you’d have to be at the store) but you can talk to your SM about it if you need to!

My store has small lockers and hooks in the back - I just hang up my purse and jacket. For your phone, you’re allowed to keep it in your apron pocket (you can use it to check the time and calendar for dating things, just not being on it for non-work stuff)

Paydays are fridays, but when the direct deposit hits depends on your bank sometimes

Thank you! I can't exactly ask my parents about the tax thing be they aren't really supportive. My mom is an immigrant and my dad will just call me stupid and irresponsible without actually helping me

Do you maybe have any friends that you’d be comfortable asking their parents?

Nope 😥
