Being a bar with another person to me is like any sort of close relationship.

There are some people that we flow together perfectly and the way we move is like a dance, and then others I cannot stand baring with because it’s chaotic and a hot mess and constantly running into each other.

ugh or when they start pulling your stickers and misplacing them or making drinks you’re already working on without trying to communicate to you... like you don’t need help because it isn’t even that busy and there are other things that really need to be done?? 😭 tell me about it. I try to be so respectful when other people are on bar but I can’t say the favor is always returned unfortunately
some people are just really eager to be on bar anytime they see a ticket pop out and I get it but it’s a little disappointing because knowing how to prioritize tasks keeps a shift running smoothly

Yes. Certain people are nightmares to bar with. I know I’m a strong bar partner too and I like to clean up as I go when there’s time, so I prefer solo barring anyway. I can’t stand when people pull shots or get on bar without asking first too. It’s one thing if we’re slammed and SSV jumps on to help for a bit but sometimes it’s like please give me space 😭
