Well. These are stuck together for the rest of eternity. Brand new too.(i.redd.it)

Fill it with ice. Then put hot water, like the hottest you can get from the brewers, into your 1 gallon pitcher. Fill it 3/4 full. Then dunk the shakers with the ice into the hot water slowly. Without burning yourself start twisting them apart. Might take a minute or so but it works. We just did it last week.
NOTcreative-37 points2y ago
We used a hammer, stir sticks, and pliers last week lol
Awetmore12319 points2y ago
Definitely been there before. Until I found this method I invariably broke one freeing them

*I’ve won but at what cost?*
Alefur2 points2y ago
Had this issue before without anyone knowing how to get them unstuck, resorted to breaking the outside on after like 3 hours of people trying
plushiequeenaspen121 points2y ago
Fill the inside one with ice and then run hot water over the outside one. You should be able to separate them that way. Might need to let the ice sit for a few minutes before running the water so the inside shaker can chill
Willowstorm928 points2y ago
I just run them under extremely hot tap water for a few seconds, give it a good tap, and they come right apart.
-zombie-squirrel2 points2y ago
We tried that and the ice trick as well at my store and couldn’t get it separated.
Willowstorm92 points2y ago
Weird. I guess my caveat should have been using a fair bit of force. I tend to forget my strength sometimes.
-zombie-squirrel3 points2y ago
That would be a good caveat lol. I messed up my wrist at work the other night so perhaps why my attempts were unsuccessful
Willowstorm92 points2y ago
Nooooo! That's the worst! I can't imagine having to make all those drinks with a lame wrist. I hope your wrist gets better soon!
DNAprototype26 points2y ago
Bump them lightly on the edge of a counter - 100% will separate.

Submerge in hot soapy water, compress the top of the inner one while twisting the bottom one.
ddragon8656 points2y ago
Happened literally a week ago at my store lmao. Now we only have one shaker
kamrissoon3 points2y ago
Run it through the Hobart and once you take it out immediately fill it with ice and try to twist and pull at the same time till it comes loose. If it doesn't work the first time keep repeating, always works.
duffye1 points2y ago
Thanks so much! I just tried this and it worked immediately.
chom6123 points2y ago
Filled the inner shaker with ice. Place the larger shaker in hot water.
realdognoway3 points2y ago
I got them apart by pulling and twisting while I banged the middle against the edge of the sink. Kinda like an impact driver

Put them in the freezer

Dzfranken2 points2y ago
Been there done that a blend of ice bath in hot water will pop them apart
deadfliesinsummer2 points2y ago
Give it a hard bonk on the counter. If it cracks, well they were hopeless anyway but maybe you can save one. Always used to work with plastic cups at restaurants I worked at tho.
