So I have an interview tomorrow at Starbucks but I still don’t know what to wear because I’ve seen videos of people saying you have to wear what you would wear to work which is like all black but some ppl on here are saying just wear whatever... I don’t know what to wear😅

Just wear something nice. It doesn’t have to be in dress code, but like a nice shirt, no jeans, no tennis shoes. Depending on what you do for fun, picture what you’d wear to go to the theatre, church, a nice dinner/date

You said no jeans right?
galaxyd1ngo3 points2y ago
If you have no dress pants, only wear jeans if they’re really nice. Not blue, minimal fading, no rips, well fitting. Having some nice pants is a life hack that will make a difference outside of starbucks too, if you have none

Okay thank you so much!

Of course! Good luck!!

For my interview I wore jeans and a nice top - jeans are in dress code at the Starbucks here, you don’t have to wear all black (you used to though)
If your Starbucks doesn’t allow jeans, I’d say black pants and a nice top - basically go half a step up “nice wise” from what they wear

What helped me was all the YouTube videos out baristas have made on the hiring process! It helped me with specific questions that came up in the interview. I can send you some links if you want’

I wore something in dress code, nice black pants and a simple brown shirt. Shoes were a nicer pair of flats. Don’t overthink it too much!

I would recommend dressing professionally. It is an interview so I don’t know why it would be recommended to wear what you would wear to work. I also don’t think you should wear “whatever” either though. Put on some business professional clothes, be confident, and wow them!
Glad-Report-5865 [OP]1 points2y ago
Wow thank you! The only thing holding me back right now is my nerves and if I stumble during the questions

I would highly recommend looking up common interview questions and even starbucks specific interview questions because someone online may be willing to share the style of questions asked. This will allow you to practice which will help with the nerves.
It’s important to have an answer in mind to the questions you may be asked, and the more specific you can be the better rather than make generalizations. Remember that if you’re being interviewed you have already made it through the first round of eliminations, which would be simply getting the interview. That’s a major accomplishment! They obviously are interested in you. Let that boost your confidence, and bring that positive mindset to the table. You don’t want to be cocky, but you want them to know that you are certain this job is the right fit for you and you aren’t doubting that you are deserving of it. Make sure you know the mission statement and current activities Starbucks is up to. It shows invested interest if you know and care about the company and about the job you applied for.
I hope we get an update on here soon that you got it! Good luck.

Thank you very very much! I needed this! Do you currently work or worked at Starbucks?
beekeeper101 points2y ago
I worked there years ago. I was a partner through high school and most of college and I loved it!
