So I have an interview tomorrow and don’t really know what Starbucks is going to ask me so if any of you have any tips for the interview or questions they ask you please let me know! Thank you!

i googled the interview questions and answered all of them outloud to myself before my interview and then like four of them came up and i got hired so i recommend that

Also, after the interview do they tell you right away if you’re hired or how long do they take?

https://theinterviewguys.com/starbucks-interview-questions/ they "offered me the position" and sent me an email and i had to pass a background check and that took about a week before that went through and they emailed me my schedule

Thank you! Do you happen to know where I can find those questions at?

I got my job on the spot! They will definitely ask you why you choose starbucks. Aside from loving starbucks beverages, you could talk about how the first sip of a starbucks drink makes you feel, and your desire to share that feeling with others. It's a little bit corny, but employers definitely loving seeing candidates who talk like they already work there. Do more research into the Starbucks Mission Statement. Talk to the manager who is interviewing you about it, how you concur with the Starbucks mission and think would be a good fit for cultivating their core values. The last thing I can think about is that they will ask you what your favorite drink is. Be excited about it! Enthusiastically talk about your favorite drink. This is both a test to see if you are familiar with the starbucks menu, and to test how passionate you are about starbucks drinks. My favorite drink was the Smores Frappuccino! I made sure to talk about the marshmallow whip cream, the sweet chocolate sauce, and the Graham crumbles. Talking about it shows a basic understanding of each component that goes into a drink, which basically gets your foot in the door of becoming a barista. Good luck!

May you give me some examples for the “why you chose Starbucks” question please, I’m trying to write some answers down rn and am stuck on that one😅

When they ask why you want to work there please do not say because I love coffee avoid that you should do great
givemeapples2 points2y ago
I cant tell if this is sarcastic or not, I think there is definitely more you should be saying than just "I love coffee" but at the same time, having a passion for coffee would make someone a good fit, no?
marvo1111 points2y ago
No sarcasm at all, loving coffee does make you a hood candidate but literally everyone says they love coffee, just sell yourself and you should get the job

I'm my experience it's all about the customer connections, talk about wanting to make meaningful connections with the customers or make someone's day with a cup of coffee etc.

They asked me the general questions first like who I was (ex: if i was a minor + how far i lived from their location), my job experience ( ex: how long did I work at my last job + why did i leave), if i was okay with wearing a mask, and then they moved towards questions about potential scenarios that could occur during a shift. The lady who interviewed me asked stuff like how I would enforce their mask rule if I saw a customer coming in without one or what would I do if a customer came up to the register and said they didn't like their drink. Then she asked me if I had a favorite drink at Starbucks and if I was an avid coffee drinker (which I'm not so I was kind of sweating bullets at that question). Definitely google starbucks questions because that's what I did and it boosted my confidence up for my impending interview :) Make sure you keep good eye contact, talk confidently, and believe in yourself :D Good luck!!!!!

honestly just be true to yourself and be completely honest they are most likely going to ask you what your favorite drink is and why you chose starbucks my manager asked me id if i liked coffee and i told her straight up i didnt but i was hoping to expand my taste buds as i expand my skills as a barista

my biggest advice is just sound confident minimize playing with ur hand or ur face also make sure to keep eye contact. when they ask you if you have any questions don’t say ask questions like “what are some characteristics you would like to see in people working here?” “can you please share some day to day responsibilities with this job?” just asking those will make you sound very professional and that you really want this job.
Glad-Report-5865 [OP]1 points2y ago
Im sorry did you mean dont ask those questions you wrote down or say those questions?
Turkey-Air1 points2y ago
make sure to say those i just realized i mistyped some stuff 😅
