Has anyone ever scanned their own app to gain stars that customers don’t scan for? I’m sure it’s not allowed but the thought crossed my mind at work, they’re not scanning or benefitting from it, so can we?

A previous job I had collected emails and some coworkers would put their own/fake emails in for customers who didn't. (We had to meet a quota and asking people is the worst.) They ended up in WAY more trouble than the occasion merited I think.
Sooo I'm going to go ahead and say that's a bad idea and the Siren will probably haunt your nightmares at the least.

i would definitely have to agree the siren would be pissed if you did that let alone your sm and dm i highly don’t recommend you do this isntead you should recommend the customers get the starbucks app and gain stars for free drinks/merchandise

Wouldn’t scanning your app also automatically apply your discount (if your partner numbers are linked to the app)? I know that we can’t use our discount for customers’ orders, so I don’t think scanning would be acceptable either.

This was supposed to have changed. The POS now recognizes you as a partner if you scan your app in store if your partner numbers are on the app. Only your daily mark outs have to be done by the barista working. It was in an update from right around spring launch

definitely not allowed. we had a store meeting saying that someone had been caught doing this and they were fired. now we’re not allowed to use phones on the floor, not even after closing just to play music. honestly it’s not like we ever had the chance to use our phones anyway but i do miss my own music.

I haven’t done it and wouldn’t but I just wondered as one person was leaving and didn’t scan their card.
