I wish I worked at a store that I could take the time to concern myself with learning latte art. Not hating, just sort of wishing my store wasn’t so insanely busy all the time, so there’s a little bit of time to breathe, do coffee tastings, etc.

Seconded.

Tbh before we went in lockdown here in the UK my store was one of the busyest. Didn't have time to sneeze most days! I gotta say I'm enjoying lockdown a bit!

That isn’t a Starbucks milk pitcher is it? Our are usually way too round and make it hard to make decent latte art

Yep it is, at least here in the UK. Its for flat whites.

Ugh I’m jealous. US partner here. None of our pitchers are pointed at all

Nice! I’d slow down the overall attempt though. Your milk was prepped really well, so take your time! Tilt the mug more, almost like you’re gonna pour it on the floor. Your initial pour, when burying the milk below the crema, should be higher. Then stop the flow, lower the pitcher to as close to touching the surface of your crema as possible, and start your art. Middle of the mug, pushing forward. And don’t rush the ending (unless of course you wanted the leaf look, then good job ;)) at the very end, you’ll want to lift your pitcher and thin the stream of milk so you can slowly and thinly push through. Keep at it! I also wish our store had time for this... I miss the craft coffee world!
