it's actually a super different proportion from an iced latte with cold foam.

The standard way to make an iced cappuccino is espresso shots, milk to the second line, ice to the third line, then 2% cold foam to the top (the colder the milk the better it foams also if they want a different milk use the same for the foam as the one for the main part of the drink)

for the foam a tall gets the milk to the 100ml line grande is the 150ml line and venti is the 200ml line in the cold foam blender.


ngl i lowkey like making them even tho anything with foam tends to be annoying as fuck

The iced cappuccino was discontinued though. You can still ring it up on the system as cappuccino>iced but I remember a while ago it was announced in the weekly updates that we should be offering customers an iced latte>add cold foam instead now. I have no idea why it’s still on POS if they don’t want us making it anymore but any time someone orders one (rare obvi) I still ring it in as an iced capp. even though corporate said not to make them anymore.

that's so dumb. idk why corporate does things like this sometimes. like how they got rid of the latte macchiato. people still want it pretty regularly so it's frustrating when they get frustrated esp at newer baristas who've never made it before and get confused with caramel macchiato. then i gotta ring it as an upside down flat white with regular shots and it's just annoying and unnecessary.

Right! I mean luckily the latte macchiato is just a standard coffee drink so it’s not unheard of but still.

I didn’t work for SBux when it was still a menu item- did it come with whole milk and an extra shot? I’ve always been told to just ring it up as an upside down latte without any other modifications and that’s how I’ve always made it at other places I’ve worked. I didn’t realize it was more particular than what I’ve been doing!

Also technically the iced cappuccino is with hot foam, while the iced cappuccino with cold foam is as you you might guess with cold foam

It’s not on the menu and no where in current training but when I went “whaaat” my Sm acted like it was no big deal, which is true but at least with most off menu customization you can read the sticker to figure out what to do

Yeah it was discontinued. People still order it occasionally but it’s super rare and we’re now supposed to ring it in as an iced latte>add cold foam according to weekly updates a long while ago. My SM still had me ring it in as cappuccino>iced anyway though.
