I very recently applied to a Starbucks pretty close to my house. I have worked at McDonald’s for quite a while and would like to finally quit my job there and begin working at Starbucks for tuition assistance and better pay than I could get working at McDonald’s. Does anyone have any advice for what I should be expecting or anything?

just be honest open and transparent in your interview. Be upfront and direct & this sounds like cheesy advice, but let your personality shine through and be yourself. don’t forget you’re also there to interview the manager themselves. my favorite questions are to ask how they handled a difficult customer experience, whats their favorite thing abt working at Starbucks & why they think I should work there. (The questions show you’re engaged and attentive, aslong as give you a general feeler for how to environment is)

To add onto this, have fun at the interview!!! My interviewer and I had a conversation and joked about things other than the job and she loved it! It helps to connect with your interviewer because then they see you can connect easily with others. (This is VERY important because when you get out there and start working, you’ll notice all the partners are friendly with each other and joke around)
